XProtect licenses

To determine which XProtect VMS product license you need, visit the Milestone product index. You can get a license in several ways:

XProtect Essential+
30-day trial
Partner license

Most of the Configuration API is supported with the free XProtect Essential+ license. However, other APIs are not available, such as the Alarms REST API.

XProtect Essential+

You can request a free XProtect Essential+ license from within the XProtect VMS product installer during installation.

30-day trial

Go to XProtect VMS Products with 30-day trial license. You will be mailed a trial license for the selected product.

Partner license

XProtect VMS test licenses are available for XProtect Technology Partners. Join the Milestone Technology Partner Program at How to become a Milestone Technology Partner.
